The length of the belt is adjustable with sliders to fit the individual. For example a 40" belt could be adjusted down to 32".

For juniors, special belts are available. up

What are the main features compared to belts available in the market?
Our belts employ a special thick webbing pattern. Also the flaps of the pockets are of genuine leather and inner pockets are reinforced with cotton lining. Therefore it is not easy to cut-open the webbing, a famous method used by pickpockets.

Most belts available in the market are made out of PVC or Nylon webbing. When this is worn, during the intense activities of hajj and when walking briskly, due to the smoothness of the material, the belt slips-up above the ihram into the belly. Our belts are made of special yarn with a unique design that grips and holds the ihram fast.

Most pickpockets use a sharp blade to slit the pockets hence the PVC or cloth belts available in the market could be easily ripped open. We use rust-free metallic buckles and highest quality genuine leather. Thick leather buckle flaps are used to withstand all the jostle and push, midst the gathering.

Is a belt mandatory during Haj or Umrah pilgrimage?
Firstly, in the intense bustle of the pilgrimage rituals it is important that a proper belt is used to hold the lower part of the Ihram fast to give you maximum confidence.

Secondly, Many people have the mistaken notion that every one in and around the holy cities is a God fearing, devoted Muslim. Therefore, they feel immune from criminal activity. Unfortunately, that is just not true. In spite of the severe punishments awarded to convicted criminals by Saudi authorities, crime does exist. Pickpockets and crooks find it easy to prey on unsuspecting pilgrims whose guard is down because of their preoccupation with Hajj activities.

Further during the tough days of the Hajj when the pilgrims are at Mina, Arafa and Muzdalifa – the ”Haji Belt” is very handy as they have to move about in the Ihram Garb.

Our product – Haji Belt – is made of Special Anti Slip Webbing with Leather & Zip Pockets on either Sides.   Holds Ihram From Slipping, Keeps Money & Other Valuables Safe and also equipped with Press Fastener Lock On Zipper For Added Safety. up

Can I store my passport in the belt pocket ?
When you land in Saudi, your passport will be replaced with a special ID card; you will get your passport back at the time of departure. So there is no need to 'store the passport', but however take a photocopy of your passport and keep it in the belt pocket. up

What is 'Ihram' and how should I wear it ?
[Definition : A state declared by Muslim pilgrims in a certain place with a given intention.] The Ihram garments for men consist of two pieces of white sheet. The larger sheet is wrapped around the waist to cover the body from the navel to the ankles. The Ihram is secured with a waist belt.

The other sheet is draped over the back and shoulders and wear a pair of stitched or unstitched sandals or shoes which do not cover the ankles. The head should not be covered, and no underwear should be used.

The Ihram should preferably be white. Women's clothing, however, varies considerably and reflects regional as well as religious influences, usually plain, simple robes.

Ihram clothing is intended to make everyone appear the same, as in the eyes of Allah there is no difference between a prince and a pauper when everyone is dressed equally. up

While I’m in ihram, is it permissible to wear a money belt, especially a stitched one?
"It is permissible to wear a belt over the izar (waist wrapper) for the purpose of holding the izar or keeping money and other needs. There is nothing wrong with this even if it is stitched. This is because what is forbidden are stitched clothes that are habitually worn when one is not in the state of ihram." Dr. Yunus al-Astal, Professor of Fiqh at the Islamic University, Gaza, Palestine.

Maulana Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani - For males, wearing stitched or knitted clothes of the shape of one's body, such as shirt, trousers, underwear, and coat etc are inadmissible and unlawful. There is no harm to have stitched patching to the 'Ihram sheets as well as sewing of the loin in the middle. A sewn money-purse or belt is also an exception.

The eminent Saudi scholar, Sheikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen adds:
"There is nothing wrong with wearing a belt over the izar (waist wrapper). Rather what the scholars mean by wearing things that are stitched is that which is made to fit the limbs and is worn in the manner, in which such garments are usually worn, such as shirts, pants and T-shirts, etc. The scholars did not mean that which has stitches in it. Hence, if a person were to enter ihram in a patched rida' (upper garment) and a patched izar, there would be nothing wrong with that, even though part of it is stitched to another part." up
